On the 690, 690A, and 690B aircraft with TPE331-5 engines, we have been fighting the damage to the exhaust pipe system (eductor) and not winning that repair battle! Many times we have rebuilt cracked and damaged areas; each time the repair becomes more difficult and costly. Couple the difficult repair with cosmetic damage such as burned paint, and you have a situation which has not improved over the years.

We now have a solution to the problem which is mechanically better than the original system, looks better (much like the later model 690C aircraft), and is cost effective. The exhaust pipe eductor STC uses the same alloy as the later model exhaust pipes and is made of one gauge thicker stainless steel for more resistance to cracking. The design eliminates burned paint on the outside of the exhaust pipe eductor, as it is polished stainless steel. And if the pipe ever becomes damaged, the pipe is easily replaced.

Installation is easily accomplished by any Twin Commander service center in about two working days. Currently, the installed price (labor and kit) is $6,995.00 for both sides of the aircraft. Local taxes are not included in the price. Prices subject to change without notice. The kits are in stock.
